Is my battery considered defective or is that ok. It sits at 82% and if you plug a cord to it it jumps to 99% in about 5 mins and then goes to full about 15 mins after that. But then if you turn it on again without the cord it drops to 82%. MisterMotion: In the book it says give 30 hours of charge time on the first charge, and after that 24 hours each charge. Robert Schneider: disliked the video as it didn't show putting the pack in to operation, plus poor lighting and so on. I just purchased one (BP-DL900) and so far it is behaving as advertised. I purchased a 25ft orange extension cable to use to charge the pack, but really? Why not include a two-prong 3ft cable with the pack? This one did not have a manual but the store and I looked through a copy from a 750 model and it also didn't really say what the indicator would show when fully charged, so I'll wait overnight which will be about 14hrs. A feature that I would like to know is can you operate your compressor, 12v outlet or USB charger while the pack is plugged in to the wall outlet? Does the unit have to be turned off to charge it? My stores only have the newer model which they say has the same sku as this. The one I picked up does not come with a power cord so you better have an approved extension cord, whatever that means. It also does not feature any rubber on the outside like stated in the description. For 30 bucks big whop but the new model is much cheaper and more plastic than the model in the pics on the website. My store had the old model on the floor charging so I could compare. So the one I picked up only has two of the five LEDs working and the blue% light is permanently on. Not sure if these issues are because I need to charge it or if I got a bad one. So far this thing does not instill confidence that it will work when I need it. Fingers crossed I just need to charge it and all will be fine. Quote from xninjagrrl: hey is your blue% light on even if the unit is turned off and not plugged into the wall? Also, how many of your LEDs work? I think mine is at 0% charge and is acting wonky. Just picked mine up ---- newer model with% display and no extension cord provided. Appeared to have no charge upon opening. Plugged it into the wall with my own extension cord. Pressed the battery charge indicator button and it started flashing 'FL%'. Then I unplugged the unit from the wall, assuming it had full charge, and the indicator switched to blinking 'LO' and then quickly faded out to nothing. Plugged it back in and pressed the battery indicator button. I get a green light when I turn the unit to the 'ON' position, but nothing happens now when I press the battery indicator button. I've been charging it for about a half hour now. The accessory light can be turned on and the unit appears functional aside from that. Do I have a broken unit?
